These spectacular mountains in Tuscany were born millions of years ago by a coral reef lifting out of the primitive ocean. Still today, they maintain inseparable relations to the element of water: in all its facets and forms, water surrounds and permeates the steep slopes, thus creating habitats for many different species. Their existence, however, is increasingly threatened by quarrying of the world-famous fine white marble.
Born in 1957, began its work in computers, of which he worked until 1992. From 1988 to 2004 he was a diving instructor and has managed its own PADI dive center in the Mediterranean. In 1993 he started working professionally as a photographer, cameraman and director in making nature documentaries and reportage photos, initially in a mostly underwater. His works, often commissioned by local authorities managers of protected areas, including several works on its own design, produced in order to increase the knowledge of some groups and bodies that, to date, have little popularity among the general public. For the making of documentaries made for shooting images in any natural environment, marine (Mediterranean and tropical), freshwater (rivers, ponds and lakes also high altitude), and air in the cave. His films and those to the realization of which he worked were received from several of the major international television networks: RAI 1 (Blue Line, Clear Variable), RAI 3 (Geo & Geo, Gaia), Tele +, NDR, ZDF, Discovery, Canal +, La Cinquième, NHK, etc.. Several of his documentaries, along with others for whom he signed the photograph, were selected and awarded in many international competitions, including: World Festival de l'Image Sous-Marine in Antibes, Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino of San Sebastian, Festival International du Film Ornithologique of Ménigoute, Golden Ibex Trophy Cogne, Festival International du Film Maritime et d'Exploration of Toulon, Sondrio Film Festival, etc.. Oasis contributed to the magazine, he also made photographs for editorial publications such as: "From the Masco Tino above and below the sea", "Flowers and plants of La Spezia and Lunigiana", "Magic 5 TERRE", "Mediterranean", etc.. He also made two CD-ROM describing respectively the Park and Protected Marine Area of Cinque Terre, with the latter won the Palme d'Or at the Festival of Antibes and the first prize at the Rome International Pelagos.
